This week's assigment for my Photo I class was on "portraiture" and using indirect "window lighting" technique.

With northwest facing windows in our apartment I was a little skeptical that the lighting would be good enough. I had made a plan to head down to the beautiful Legislative building, however, the end of the day rolled around, my man got home from work and I just wasn't feeling it. So we improvised. Turns out the lighting in the apartment was great and so were the results!! : )

It's always a bonus for a fledgling photographer to have a boyfriend who does a bit of modeling...not only does he not mind being in front of the camera, he knows what looks good which helps me a lot!!
